First Nations people in Quebec

There are approximately 1% of First Nations people in Quebec. The Iroquois nation has more than 20,000 members in Quebec. This community has four schools, including two high schools, a radio station, a newspaper (The Eastern Door), a hospital managed by the community and a Caisse Populaire with assets over 50 million dollars. The Mohawks claimed that the Oka village remains an event relation to the Mohawks and non-Native people in Quebec. .
